Dressing for the heat

Heat asks less of your wardrobe, not more — but it asks precisely. The pieces that earn their place in a summer bag share three habits: they move sweat away from the skin rather than holding it, they leave air where air is needed, and they keep their shape on the eighteenth as well as the first. That usually means a technical knit or an open piqué over cotton, a skort with an honest inner short, and a sleeveless or cap-sleeve cut when the forecast is unkind. A light cap or visor does more for your concentration than any swing thought. Everything in this collection was chosen with those habits in mind — nothing here is merely pretty in the clubhouse and sorry by the seventh.
