The case for tonal dressing
A restricted palette is not a restriction; it is a decision made once, well. Build a round around a single family — ivory with stone, navy with white, black head to toe — and everything in the bag suddenly works with everything else: the mid-layer thrown on at the turn, the cap grabbed from the boot, the glove that never quite matched anything anyway. Tonal dressing also photographs beautifully and dates slowly, which matters when good pieces should last seasons rather than summers. The edit below keeps to black, white, ivory, navy and grey — colours confirmed against each piece’s actual colourways, not its marketing shots — so you can mix any two items here with confidence.
